Peter is a health economist with eighteen years’ experience in the primary health and community services sectors. He has worked in national and state government health departments, Medicare Locals, peak bodies and divisions of general practice.
His extensive contacts in the health sector, knowledge of health funding, government experience and ability to empathise have positioned Peter and his team to assist general practices, community health services, Primary Health Networks, Aboriginal community controlled health organisations and integrated rural health services to plan and develop new models of care, and to obtain funding to deliver more services.
Larter has a presence in both Victoria and Queensland, and has provided services for nine Primary Health Networks to date. The Larter team are passionate about stronger primary health systems and teams.
Peter has governance experience as a former board member of APNA and Eating Disorders Victoria, and as President of charity Health Australia and Tanzania.
